T'is the night before Christmas

T'is the night before Christmas
And the sleigh is all packed
The reindeer are ready
Their bells are attached
A few last minute snacks
And a chat with the elves
The lists, double checked
have been filed on the shelves
The Elves have just finished
Attaching each deer to the sleigh
Tonight riding with me
Are Emma and Jay
A big hug and a kiss
From my Mrs. Claus
As all of the spectators
Give a thunderous applause
We hop in my sleigh
And I pick up the reins
The Reindeer all listen
As I call their names
On Dasher on Dancer
on Vixen on Cupid
The fog is so thick
Rudolph’s’ nose not so stupid
On Donder on Comet
On Blitzen on Prancer
Do I like milk and cookies?
Why YES is the answer
So onwards we go
With a beacon of light
Delivering presents
All through the night
Maybe someday
Your turn will come
To ride Santa’s sleigh
Lots of work to be done
A warning to those
Who stay awake peeking
We will not stop by
Until you are sleeping
So stay in your bed
And I shall appear
Merry Christmas to all
And have a Blissful New Year!
